i am fascinated during my connection sessions at how the simplest things, often best portray what it is i am trying to capture. like how expressive the hand can be when holding onto a loved one. how so much can be interpreted and felt by something as simple as arms interlocked. or hair being tossed around freely by the wind. sometimes i feel that by having the face predominantly present in an image, it distracts the viewer from what it really is i am after. does the viewer need to see a face to feel and grasp the emotion in an image? sometimes they do as it is the face that carries all the emotion of an image. and sometimes it’s not. it’s when the viewer can understand so much from so little.
